The Flying Geese Quilt Guild was formed in 1989 by a handful of women who wanted to learn more about quilting. They began meeting in individual homes, showing each other new quilting techniques, and learning from each other. Our members have a wide range of skill levels ranging from learning how to quilt to professional quilters. The guild provides many opportunities to learn and have fun. We offer workshops, quilt speakers, retreats, trips and classes.

Join Andrea Hoke via Zoom on January 20, 2026 for “Intro to Paper Piecing.”

Cost is $30 for class plus $5 for the kit. Click here to register for this class.

After decades of speedy machine sewing and quick-piecing techniques, come discover the joy of “slow sewing” and the pleasure of portable hand stitching projects! No longer tied to your sewing machine, you can now enjoy stitching in the presence of family and friends or while on the go. You’ll be amazed at how much you can accomplish in your “stolen moments”.

This introductory class, a great fit for both beginners and experienced stitchers, will open the door to the world of English Paper Piecing (EPP) and the many different projects that you can complete with this method. Learn how to hand stitch the hexagon and the diamond shapes using the traditional EPP method.
